Structure Fire on Veasey Shore Road

Meredith companies responded at 7:16 Sunday morning to a structure fire at 60 Veasey Shore Road. 14C1 arrived on the scene and reported light smoke showing from the rear of a single family dwelling. 14 Engine 1 arrived shortly after and 14C1 instructed the crew to stretch a hand line to the rear of the structure to begin extinguishing a fire on an attached outside deck. The fire was quickly knocked down and damage was confined to the deck. Companies overhauled the area and determined the fire had not extended into the main structure.
