Laconia companies were toned at 8:29 to 29 Baldwin Street. The reporting party stated there was smoke coming from the roof and an odor of smoke in the building. Gilford and Belmont responded on the still alarm. At 8:33 command reported fire on the third floor with multiple lines in operation and requested a first alarm. The first alarm brings cover trucks into the City. Meredith's 14 Engine 1 was assigned to cover Laconia's Weirs Beach station. At 8:53, command requested a second alarm, which moved 14 Engine 1 to the scene. This also called for 14 Tower 1 to cover Laconia's Central station. 14 Engine 1 personnel assisted with fire suppression and overhaul.

14 Tower 1 responded to four calls while covering Laconia. The first call was to Gilford for an odor of gas in the building. 14 Tower 1 assisted Stewarts Ambulance for a subject that had been injured in a fall, a subject locked in a bathroom, and also responded to a motor vehicle accident in the City.

All Meredith companies were in service at 13:15.

Meredith crews were alerted at 9:23 of a head-on collision in front of the Meredith Police station. 14 Rescue 1 arrived on scene and confirmed the head-on collision. Both vehicles sustained moderate front- end damage. After stabilizing the vehicles, personnel secured vehicle power, contained fluids and cleaned debris from the roadway.

Stewarts Ambulance personnel evaluated both drivers. One driver refused transport to the hospital and the other driver chose to be transported to the hospital by private vehicle.

Meredith crews were called at 19:14 to assist Gilford for first alarm building fire. The fire at 2696 Lakeshore Road occurred in a four unit condominium build at the Samoset Condominiums. Meredith crews assisted with fire suppression and overhaul. 14 Engine 4 assisted with water supply. 14 Engine 4 returned to service at 21:44

Meredith crews were called to what would become a three alarm fire at 271 Weirs Road in Gilford. The department was toned at 3:26 as part of a first alarm assignment. Meredith personnel assisted with fire suppression and overhaul. 14 Engine 4 assisted with water supply. The fire grew to three alarms due to the need for extra manpower because of the punishing cold weather as the ambient air temperature hovered around 0° F.
