Meredith companies were alerted at 14:26 as part of a 1st alarm assignment for a structure fire at 22 Nyberg Road in Bristol. Bristol companies were notified at 14:15 that smoke was coming from a mobile home. Prior to the arrival of Bristol companies, a Bristol Police Officer on scene advised there may be two occupants still inside. A 1st Alarm was called and 14 Engine 4 was assigned to provide coverage at the Bristol station. However, as 14 Engine 4 approached the scene, it was diverted to assist on scene for a short time for manpower before continuing to the cover assignment. One occupant was discovered deceased inside the structure. The second missing occupant was not at the residence at the time of the fire.

Meredith companies returned to service at 16:13.

Meredith companies were notified at 15:10 that an ultralight aircraft had crashed into Meredith Bay on Lake Winnipesaukee. Laconia was also dispatched automatic aid. Meredith Fire Department and Laconia Fire Department boats arrived in the area and assisted New Hampshire Marine Patrol, who had been in the general vicinity prior to the crash, with bringing the pilot to shore to an awaiting Stewarts Ambulance. Luckily the pilot sustained minor non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia for treatment.

The pilot managed to escape the aircraft before it sunk in approximately 65 feet of water. Per New Hampshire Marine Patrol, recovery of the aircraft would be attempted on August 11th.

Meredith and Laconia companies were returned to service at 16:41.
