First Alarm Building Fire on Loon Point Road

Meredith Fire Department crews were alerted at 19:13 for a building fire at 6 Loon Point Road. Lakes Region Mutual Fire Aid Communications Center advised responding companies of a fully involved residence and all occupants had evacuated. 14 Engine 3 officer (Currier) requested a first alarm. 14 Engine 3 arrived at 19:20 and reported a 20' x 30' single story cabin fully involved and the first arriving engine to lay a supply line in from Chemung Road. The first arriving crews quickly knocked down the fire with assistance of mutual aid companies. The building required extensive overhaul to douse remaining hotspots. All companies were returned to service by 22:47. Companies from Laconia, New Hampton, Holderness, Bristol, and Gilford assisted at the scene. Center Harbor covered the Meredith Downtown Station and Sanbornton covered the Meredith Center Station. |
