Meredith To Scene of Second Alarm Building Fire in Thornton
April 26, 2021

The Campton-Thornton Fire Department was alerted at 2:15 of a building fire at 16 Rocky Hill Road in Thornton. The reporting party stated that a barn and camper were burning. 35C1 responded and reported a glow in the sky and requested a first alarm. When 35C1 arrived on scene, he advised of heavy fire from the second floor of a 60' x 40' barn and requested a second alarm. As part of the second alarm, Meredith's 14 Engine 4 was assigned to provide coverage at Campton-Thornton Station 1 on NH Route 49. At 3:19, 14 Engine 4 Engine 4 was diverted to the scene per command to supplement the water supply to fight the blaze. The fire was declared under control at 4:06. Command released 14 Engine 4 at 4:12.

All Meredith companies were in service at 5:34.

Meredith Assists at Second Alarm Building Fire in Laconia
April 22, 2021

Laconia, Gilford, and Belmont were notified at 11:08 of a building fire at 728 Union Avenue. 13C1 arrived on scene at 11:11 and advised of heavy smoke showing from a 2 1/2 story multi-family dwelling and requested a second alarm. Meredith's 14 Engine 1 went to the scene as part of the second alarm. Reports of occupants trapped in one of the apartments was unfounded as all searches were negative.

Laconia crews quickly knocked down on the fire. 14 Engine 1's crew assisted with salvage and overhaul.

All Meredith companies were in service at 13:47.

Meredith Responds to Laconia for a Second Alarm Building Fire
April 10, 2021

Laconia companies along with Gilford and Meredith's 14 Engine 4 were toned at 18:17 to 93 Eastman Shore Road South for a building fire. Companies arrived on scene to a fully involved 30' x 30' three-season camp. Exterior operations were initiated as the building was unoccupied. 14 Engine 4's crew assisted with fire suppression and overhaul, while 14 Engine 4 assisted with water supply.

All Meredith companies were in service at 21:20.

Second Alarm Building Fire in Laconia
April 7, 2021

Laconia companies were toned at 14:02 to169 Highland Street for a building fire. Gilford and Belmont responded on the still alarm. At 14:05, 13C2 arrived on scene and reported a 2 1/2 story dwelling with fire showing from the first floor. A first alarm was requested. At 14:06, 13C2 then reported an elderly victim was trapped on the first floor and the first due engine to perform a fast attack and perform a search. Command requested a second alarm at 14:08. The second alarm diverted 14 Engine 1 to the scene from the original first alarm assignment to cover the Weirs station and also brought 14 Tower 1 into the city to cover Laconia's Central station. At 14:12, command reported that the victim had been extricated and CPR was in progress.14 Engine 1's crew assisted with salvage and overhaul.

First Alarm Building Fire in Center Harbor
April 4, 2021

Center Harbor companies were alerted at 9:04 to a building fire at 81 College Road. Meredith companies were also notified as automatic aid. The reporting party stated there was fire coming from the roof around the chimney. 5C9 arrived on scene at 9:08 and confirmed the report and requested a first alarm. The first alarm brought companies from Holderness, Laconia, New Hampton, and Ashland to the scene. Crews laddered the roof while a second crew entered the building quickly knocked down the fire in the attic space Crews then checked for extension.
